FlatShare is operated by Lia Choi.
1. Privacy by minimization
FlatShare is designed to collect as little user data as practical. It does not operate user accounts, newsletters, favorites, saved-property profiles, behavioral advertising, third-party analytics, advertising analytics, or persistent application-level visitor profiles. It does not intentionally use cookies or local storage for analytics or advertising.
2. Visits, delivery and security
FlatShare’s web application does not write its own application-level visitor access log. The origin web server operated by Lia Choi is currently located in Europe and is configured to retain operational access logs for security and service operation. The deployed rotation policy keeps those logs for up to 30 days. FlatShare uses Cloudflare in front of the origin for network delivery and security.
Cloudflare may process request information including IP address, traffic-routing data, request and response metadata, system or device configuration information, and security-related network information. Cloudflare operates a global network and its processing and retention depend on the services and configuration in use. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
3. Cookies and local storage
FlatShare does not intentionally use cookies or browser local storage for analytics, advertising, user profiling, saved searches or personalization. Cloudflare security services may, depending on configuration and whether a visitor triggers a security challenge, use strictly necessary technical cookies. If FlatShare adds analytics, accounts, personalization, advertising or other non-essential storage, this Policy and any required consent mechanism will be updated.
4. Email
If you contact flatshare@sun.com.py, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, name, message, attachments or other voluntarily supplied information. Email is self-hosted by Lia Choi. We use correspondence to reply, address support, correction, legal or business enquiries, maintain necessary records, and protect legal rights where required. We do not add senders to marketing lists.
5. Email retention
Emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the correspondence and related operational, legal or compliance requirements. Messages that no longer serve a legitimate purpose should be deleted in ordinary mailbox maintenance; correspondence relevant to a dispute, legal obligation, fraud prevention, contract or regulatory request may be retained longer where reasonably necessary.
6. Accommodation searches and listings
FlatShare does not maintain personal account profiles or persistent search histories linked to individual visitors. Inventory is supplied through Homestay.com’s API. FlatShare does not send a visitor’s personal booking information to Homestay through an account or booking form because FlatShare does not process bookings. After following a provider link, the provider processes information under its own policy, including Homestay’s Privacy Statement.
7. Maps, approximate locations and commute search
FlatShare’s neighborhood and accommodation maps use MapLibre GL JS in the browser. Map styles and map tiles currently load from OpenFreeMap infrastructure, so a map visit makes normal HTTPS requests to that service and may expose the visitor’s IP address and ordinary browser/network request metadata to the tile provider. FlatShare does not add map analytics, map cookies, or map local storage.
Accommodation coordinates supplied by a provider are kept server-side. FlatShare publishes only deterministic, privacy-coarsened areas; it does not publish host addresses, raw coordinates, exact house pins, or exact-coordinate distances. Map labels and selected-room copy identify the result as an Approximate location. The map may also contain editorial neighborhood geometry, which is not an accommodation address.
Commute search is currently dormant and unavailable on the public site. No destination text, map-selected destination, accommodation coordinate or address is sent to a commute geocoder or routing service, and no commute health check, background job or commute result cache runs while the feature is disabled. If a future validated provider is introduced, this Policy will be updated before activation to describe the destination data, provider, retention, privacy-area matching and operational safeguards.
8. Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links and can contain a referral identifier that lets the destination provider recognize that a visit or qualifying booking originated from FlatShare. FlatShare does not maintain its own user-level affiliate-click history or profiling database. After a link is followed, the provider may process referral, device, network, cookie or booking information under its own privacy policy.
9. Analytics
FlatShare currently uses no third-party analytics service or advertising analytics. If this changes, this Policy will be updated before or when the technology is deployed. Where consent is legally required for future analytics or advertising technology, it will not be activated before the appropriate consent is obtained.
10. Why information is processed
Depending on the data and applicable law, information is processed to respond to a request, operate and secure the website, prevent abuse, protect infrastructure, comply with legal obligations, and pursue legitimate operational or legal interests that do not override individual rights. FlatShare does not currently use visitor data for automated individual profiling or behavioral advertising.
11. Sharing
Lia Choi does not sell FlatShare visitor personal data. Information may be processed by Cloudflare for delivery and security, disclosed to a competent authority where legally required, or shared with professional advisers or to protect the Site, users or Lia Choi from fraud, abuse or legal claims. A provider receives the web request directly when a visitor voluntarily follows an affiliate link.
12. International processing
Lia Choi is established in Paraguay and the origin server is currently in Europe. Cloudflare operates globally, so technical data may be processed in more than one country. Email and other information may therefore be processed outside a visitor’s country. Where applicable law imposes international-transfer requirements, Lia Choi will use the legally required safeguards.
13. Security
FlatShare uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the limited data it processes, including data minimization and network-security infrastructure. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not send passwords, payment-card information or other highly sensitive information by email; FlatShare does not need payment-card details for its current service.
14. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability where applicable, or complaint to a competent authority. Because FlatShare holds very little user-level data, the main identifiable information may be correspondence you have sent. Send requests to flatshare@sun.com.py; enough information may be needed to identify the correspondence or data concerned.
15. Children
FlatShare is an accommodation discovery website and is not designed to collect children’s personal information. It does not knowingly operate profiles, accounts or behavioral tracking for children. Providers may set their own minimum-age or booking requirements.
16. Changes to this Policy
This Policy will be reviewed whenever FlatShare adds analytics, advertising, accounts, saved searches, contact forms, newsletters, additional partners, maps, embedded third-party content, storage, logging or new data processors. The current version will show an effective or last-updated date.
