Our aim is not simply to reproduce accommodation listings. We combine partner inventory with independent destination guidance, including neighborhood comparisons, local housing expectations, transport considerations, rental risks and practical checks to make before paying.
Where do the listings come from?
FlatShare currently receives accommodation inventory from Homestay.com through its API. Inventory is refreshed daily. Where a reliable ingestion timestamp is available, FlatShare displays the most recent successful inventory refresh rather than implying that every individual listing was checked when you open the page.
Partner data can include property or room descriptions, photographs, location information, prices, availability information, accommodation features, and host or property information. Prices, availability, descriptions and other details can change after an inventory refresh.
What does FlatShare verify?
FlatShare knows that the accommodation information displayed through its current integration was supplied through the partner API. FlatShare does not independently inspect or verify each property, host, room, address, photograph, licence, legal status, safety condition, review, price or current availability. Before booking, review current information, conditions and policies on the booking provider’s own website.
Does FlatShare take bookings or payments?
No. FlatShare is a discovery and referral website. It does not accept accommodation payments, process bookings, act as a landlord, letting agent or real-estate broker, enter into the accommodation contract, or guarantee that a property will remain available at a displayed price. Selecting an offer sends you to the relevant third-party provider to continue.
How does FlatShare make money?
FlatShare currently participates in an affiliate relationship with Homestay.com. If a visitor follows a qualifying FlatShare referral and completes an eligible booking with Homestay, FlatShare may receive a commission. FlatShare is not currently paid merely because a listing is displayed or because a visitor clicks a listing.
Why does FlatShare add city guidance?
Accommodation platforms are good at showing inventory, but may not answer whether a room is suitable. FlatShare adds a decision layer covering neighborhood trade-offs, room budgets, transport planning, deposits, furnished-room norms, minimum stays, local rental scams and practical checks before paying.
